What We Do

we bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the craft industry by providing hands-on training, apprenticeship opportunities, and entrepreneurial support .

Our Programs

1.Skill Craft Empowerment Program (SCEP)

01.

Practical Training and Hands-On Experience

Our Skill Craft Empowerment Program (SCEP) is designed to provide participants with extensive practical training. We have partnered with local universities to give our trainees access to state-of-the-art equipment and modern facilities. This collaboration ensures that participants receive high-quality, hands-on experience in various crafts, including fabrication and welding, electronics, innovation and die making, and health and safety.

02.

Bridging the Skills Gap

We address the critical issue of skills mismatch in the craft industry by offering training that aligns with the needs of the job market. Our program targets individuals from TVET schools, universities, and the informal sector, providing them with the practical skills they need to complement their theoretical knowledge. By doing so, we help to create a skilled workforce that meets the demands of the market and enhances the overall quality of the craft industry.

03.

Apprenticeship and Employment Opportunities

SCEP not only focuses on training but also on creating pathways to employment. We offer apprenticeship opportunities that allow participants to gain real-world experience and connect with potential employers. Additionally, we facilitate job placements and support participants in finding meaningful employment within the craft industry. Our goal is to ensure that every graduate of our program has the opportunity to apply their skills in a professional setting.

04.

Business Development and Entrepreneurship Support

At BORESHA SKILLS HUB, we recognize the importance of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth. Our program includes training in business management, digital literacy, and soft skills, based on the International Labour Organization’s Business Management Training Program – Start and Improve Your Business (ILO-SIYB). We provide participants with the knowledge and resources they need to start and grow their own businesses, including access to incubation, funding, and market opportunities.

05.

Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility

We are committed to promoting sustainable practices within the craft industry. Our programs incorporate waste management, recycling, and the use of environmentally friendly materials. We aim to reduce the environmental impact of craft production and encourage participants to adopt sustainable practices in their work. By doing so, we contribute to a greener future and support the long-term viability of the craft industry

06.

BORESHA SKILLS HUB fosters a sense of community among our participants. We provide platforms for networking, peer support, and mentorship, helping individuals to build strong professional relationships and share knowledge.
